Our dentists administer sedation medication, intravenous IV and nitrous oxide to help remove the anxiety of our dental patients. We provide sedation through nitrous oxide, oral medication and through IV (intravenous).
Sedation is perfect for both adults and children patients that prefer a totally relaxing and stress free experience while undergoing certain dental procedures.
What Are My Sedation
Options?
Nitrous Oxide: Nitrous oxide is commonly referred to as laughing gas. This is an entry level type of sedation that is effective for patients with minimal anxiety, and is an excellent choice for children whom fear the dentist.
Oral Sedation: Oral sedation is the act of administering sedation medication through the mouth and is similar to valium (Diazepam). Oral sedation can be administered in conjunction with nitrous oxide and is extremely effective for people with a higher levels of anxiety.
IV Sedation: IV sedation is the highest level of conscious sedation that is offered, and is recommended for our more involved oral surgical procedures such as dental implant surgery, bone and gum grafts and wisdom teeth extraction. IV sedation is an excellent treatment option for people with higher levels of anxiety and allows the patient to be much more comfortable with little to no memory of the procedure after the sedation drug wears off.
